Thanks for checking out the full list of rules and terms and all that stuff you should know before jumping into a business relationship with anyone! :) I never want either my clients nor I to be in the dark about anything – and while I may err on the side of frankness, it is simply because I do not like it when anyone (including me) is unhappy or unsatisfied with my work! So please read through this carefully before deciding to work with me – and please ask for clarity if you have questions!

Terms-n-stuff:

Length of Membership: No contract required. You may opt out, upgrade or downgrade at any time. Space is limited. Your spot in the program will remain reserved as long as your account stays active (you continue your membership for consecutive months) and positive (no outstanding balances, invocies paid on time). If you want to re-enter the program after leaving, you must be put on the wait list for an available opening. The reason I do this is so that  1) I have a set # of clients/hours so I don’t over-promise or under-deliver and 2) I have a consistent income that allows me to budget for my life. If you need to leave the program for whatever reason, I need to fill your spot so I can can continue to pay my electric bill!

If you do decide to leave, I ask that out of courtesy you notify me by the 15th of the month so I can have enough time to fill your spot. I will not throw stones at you if you don’t, but it will make me very sad. You will need to use up all your remaining hours by the end of your final month – including any rolled hours you may have. Negotiations beyond that can be made on a case by case basis.

I am an understanding person and if you need an extension on payment due date or to skip just a month due to financial ick, please email me and let me know the deal and I’m sure we can work something out. Remember I am not a big ‘ol company – I am just me and while I am more then happy to do what I can to help you, I also have to look out for my own financial responsibilities.

Members staying with the program for more then 2 consecutive months will qualify for bonus stuff like free hours and virtual hugs. If you leave and come back, you have to meet the 2 consecutive month requirement again to get that stuff.

Turn-around, Scheduling: Priority project scheduling 2-4 business days as schedule permits. VIP Project scheduling 24-48 hour turnaround as schedule permits. All members of the program are allotted a certain amount of hours to use based on their package. Projects are scheduled based on priority, deadline and first come, first serve – in that order. All members receive priority scheduling over hourly or turnkey site clients. Please remember that there are multiple tech clients using my available hours, so turnaround is not guaranteed within those time frames. Although every effort will be made to meet that turnaround, (I hate waiting and I don’t like making people wait) you need to make sure you are submitting projects to me as early as possible to make sure you get it back in time. If you send me a sales page project at 2pm on Friday, there’s not much chance you will have it back before the weekend – please be realistic in your requests!

My work schedule will be available online and you will be given access to reserve time blocks if you choose to (beta). Recurring project (ezines or blog posts for example) need to be requested at the beginning of the month to reserve hours based on deadline (this does not mean content is due at that time, only the request for the project).

Projects will be done within my scheduled office hours. If no office hours are available to meet your deadline, every effort will be made to accomodate. Weeknight and weekend hours are only available on a pre-arranged basis.

Hours Usage: During the first two consecutive months in the program, unused hours do not roll over. Unused, non-rollover hours can be used for site maintenance if no projects are required to avoid losing the hours. After the 2nd consecutive month, hours can be rolled over for a period of one month. Rollover hours from the previous month must be used by the end of the current month, however current hours can continue to roll over (so at any given point you cannot have more then twice your hours open to use).

Level one members will have a task list set up to monitor and track projects. Levels two and three will have access to Basecamp to monitor and collaborate on projects. Project requests can always be sent in to the private email account, but please make sure to include deadlines and get a response from me – emails can get lost or stuck in spam blockers.

Hours tracking: Hours will be logged in 6 minute increments. Phone or email instructions, tutorials or training over the amount specified in each level will be tracked. Members have 24/7 access to their current hours balance via Freshbooks. Overage are billed in 6 minute increments and invoices on the 15th of each month. Add-on hourly rate determined by package level. Public hourly rate is $65/hour.

Refunds: Refunds are available until to the 15th of the month, minus work to date. Refunds are not available for rollover hours – those are use-em-or-lose-em.
