My story (the long version)
I’m Victoria Potts Keale – mom, wife, and nerd. I’ve been a contract technical and administrative support person for 8 years now – after leaving my corporate marketing job in 2003. Prior to starting my contract work, I worked in marketing for an investment firm for four years (wearing suits to work and commuting. Ick.) and managed some cool, high-grossing retail shops. My first kid spent a lot of time in child care, and I really didn’t get why I left home to work my tail off to pay someone else to care for my child – so after my second kid was born I left the rat race and took a swing at self employment.
Since then my business has grown, changed and morphed more times over then I can count. I have been the assistant, the accountant, the coder, the graphic designer, the tech support, the coach, the consultant… but throughout all of it I maintained a strong drive to help women like me achieve the dream of running their own business on their own terms.
With the introduction of my third kid into the world in July 2010, my business has needed to morph once again to accommodate for the whole being-a-mom thing. 
With three kids, I need stability and structure more then ever and because of that, my business focus is shifting to relationship development and technical support. Gone are the days of producing website after website all year long- the stress of those projects and the client turnaround is too much for me to juggle. My goal for 2012 is to create a strong relationship with a select group of women and provide them with over-the-top awesome technical support.
As for my personal stuff, I’m a chic who wears a million hats. I’m a true midwestern girl who went through the standard teenage rebellion, went to college, dropped out of college (b/c the classes were getting in the way of partying), came back home, got pregnant, got married, got a job in corporate land, got pregnant again, got divorced, left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur, spent some time as a single mom, got remarried to mr. right-for-me, got pregnant again, got a dog and is currently working on world domination.
Ok, just kidding on the world domination.
I love all things geek. I love problem solving (I used to ask for extra homework back in geometry class…), setting up systems, coding… all those things that most people run from. I am a Star Wars nerd. I love anything pop culture. I am a zombie fanatic and I love 80′s metal. I have 3 fantastic, super smart kids and 1 fantastic, super talented husband and think they are the best thing since sliced bread. My family is my #1 priority in this world and I am very blessed to have a career that allows me to spend as much time as possible with them. I love the outdoors and camping. I love music and I married a drummer (which I sometimes regret b/c load in sucks when you are a drummer! Too much to carry) I love the ocean, but I do not like long walks on the beach because it’s really hard to walk in sand. I love to people watch and make running commentaries on them. I hate every other driver on the road, and I suffer from road rage (which is why working from home is a really good thing for me). I have a Mr. Potato Head collection. I am a sitcom junkie. I have 13 tattoos. I only remember I have 6 most of the time b/c those are the only ones I see (the rest are on my back) and almost all I regret. I believe in the woo-woo stuff and cannot watch a scary movie to save my life. My adult kickball league won first place in Spring of 09. I ran my first 5k in November of ’11. I just used the term “ran” VERY loosely. I use the term “douchebag” too frequently. But I do that b/c people too frequently deserve it. I am in the midst of building a foodie website and will let you see it as soon as I get a chance to put some actual recipes up. That is all for now.
