Me and My Husband on Valentines Day last year
Welcome, welcome welcome!
Before you check out my blog (or if you’ve come here after you’ve read some stuff and are like ‘Wha?’) please take a moment to read my personal disclaimers and explanations of this little virtual world of mine.
The Life Blog is my place to talk as Vickie, the snarky, bitter old-feeling lady who spends way too much time on the computer and has lost many of her in-person social skills. The Biz Blog is coming from professional, act-together Victoria who tries to be sweet and proper. Some of you who know me may have never met professional, act-together Victoria – to you, I swear she exists. And yes, I may be suffering from some sort of multiple personality disorder. But take me with a grain of salt, eh?
I will occasionally be “discussing” business situations that I am in, sometimes in a negative light. I will never include names or links to those situations that I am not talking about in a positive way. To my clients, I am not talking about you. You are awesome. I am talking about that other guy. To my prospects, I am sure you will never make that list either, because you are so awesome.

My kids and I a few years back...
I am not in the wheel business. I do not believe in reinventing them. If there is something someone else did or made that I think is awesome or helpful I am going to link to it. I want to share my discoveries on stuff. I am not trying to sell you my take on something nor am I profiting from you trying out someone’s stuff I recommend, unless I note that and in those cases it’s probably the equivalent of about $2. So look at it like you are buying me a drink.
On that note – while I may not promote other stuff on here for much, if any, profit, I will be promoting me on here for profit. Because I love what I do and I’d love to do more of it. Sorry. (But seriously, I actually like what I do and would love to do it for you, so call me!)
About me…
I’m a chic who wears a million hats. My short story is this: I’m a true midwestern girl who went through the standard teenage rebellion, went to college, dropped out of college (b/c the classes were getting in the way of partying), came back home, got pregnant, got married, got a job in corporate land, got pregnant again, got divorced, left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur, spent some time as a single mom, got remarried to mr. right-for-me, moved into a big ‘ol farm house and is currently working on world domination.
Ok, just kidding on the world domination.

My daughter Sophia and I last summer
After 30 years of being what I thought I should be, I have finally accepted who I am (i.e. the snarky, bitter old-feeling lady) and have embraced it. I LOVE my children and think they are the best thing since sliced bread. I love the outdoors and camping. I love music and I married a drummer (which I sometimes regret b/c load in sucks when you are a drummer! Too much to carry) I love the ocean, but I do not like long walks on the beach because it’s really hard to walk in sand. I love to people watch and make running commentaries on them. I hate every other driver on the road, and I suffer from road rage (which is why working from home is a really good thing for me). I am a super nerd who LOVES Star Wars and anything pop culture. I have a Mr. Potato Head collection. I watch too many silly sitcoms and I am a huge fan of teen TV. (Yes, I watch Hannah Montana even when my daughter is not home). My nails are often painted pink, even though I claim to hate that color. I am a huge fan of all things 80′s and my favorite band is Bon Jovi. I have 13 tattoos. I only remember I have 6 most of the time b/c those are the only ones I see (the rest are on my back). I believe in the woo-woo stuff, live in a haunted house but cannot watch a scary movie to save my life. I play in an adult kickball league (and we won first place in Spring of 09). I use the term “douchebag” too frequently. But I do that b/c people too frequently deserve it.
There’s more to me then this, but at least now you know a little bit of who you are dealing with.
~Victoria
